Hello, my name is Alexandria Mayo!
I create engaging, bold, and colorful designs through my editorial work, publishing projects, and advertising.
I draw heavily from 1960s counterculture, ranging from Fluxus and Pop Art to textiles, advertising, and especially music. As a devoted listener of music from the 1950s–1970s, I translate the emotion and intensity of sound into visual form frequently in my portfolio.
I find joy in spreading humor and visual energy through art inspired by my interests. Connecting with people through my work whether by finding shared communities or reaching new audiences is my favorite part of being an artist.
Currently my favorite songs are:
People's Parties- Joni Mitchell
Long Monday- John Prime
Nobody Knows You (When You're Down and Out)- Otis Redding
